On-site service is a good option when transporting the computer is inconvenient or when the issue is related to the computer’s normal setup environment.
Availability depends on the type of service and location.
On-site services may include:

Thermal paste replacement

On-site labor follows the same service tiers used for in-shop work.
For simple installations, maintenance, and quick setup work.

Peripheral setup
For troubleshooting, more involved installations, and jobs requiring additional testing or configuration.

Crash troubleshooting

Advanced cable management
Hardware stability checks
For operating system work, drive migrations, file transfers, and other more involved services.
Examples include:
Windows installation
Drive cloning

A travel fee may apply depending on distance and location.
Any travel charge will be discussed and approved before the appointment is scheduled.
Some problems require more equipment, testing time, or workspace than is practical during an on-site appointment.
Examples may include:
Long stress tests
Intermittent crashes
Extensive hardware diagnostics
Complex Windows problems
Large drive cloning jobs
Major system disassembly
Multiple hardware failures
Extensive cleaning
Repairs requiring several hours of testing
If I believe the PC needs additional off-site testing, I will explain why before continuing.
For supported on-site jobs, I bring the tools needed to perform the scheduled service.
Depending on the job, this may include equipment for:
Hardware installation
PC cleaning
Cable management
Driver and software troubleshooting
Storage installation
Basic system testing
Temperature monitoring
Component inspection
Replacement parts are not included unless arranged beforehand.
Please provide:
Access to the computer
Access to a power outlet
Enough workspace to safely service the PC
Any replacement parts you already purchased
Any required accessories or cables
Login access if needed for testing or software work
If a password is required, I recommend using a temporary password when possible and changing it after service is complete.

If a part appears defective or incompatible, I will contact you before continuing.
Customers should back up important files before service whenever possible.

Backup and restore
the service may fall under the $60 Advanced Service tier.
Dom’s Tech does not provide data recovery services.
On-site service pricing covers labor unless otherwise stated.
Replacement parts and hardware are charged separately.
Travel fees may apply depending on location.
If additional problems are discovered during the appointment, I will explain the issue and any additional cost before continuing.
Some jobs may need to be completed off-site if proper testing cannot be performed safely or efficiently at the customer’s location.
No additional paid work will be performed without your approval.
